Well actually I've spent quite a bit of time this morning chatting with [livejournal.com profile] remiixx over texts. We started talking about k-pop and.. the "state" that it's in right now, with all this shit everywhere.

I am gonna get this out in the open, although I'm sure most of you have noticed by my lack of posts abt it:

TBH, I am completely sick of k-pop at the moment. It's just too much drama and shit for me. I just want everyone to get along, but all this crap with 2PM, DBSK, Suju... ETC ETC (AKA EVERYTHING)

I AM SICK OF IT.

To the point where I don't even really want to care anymore. I still like DBSK, don't get me wrong. I just don't want to deal with it. I am sick of hearing netizens complain. I am sick of hearing about car accidents. I am sick of hearing about ANTI'S, and yes.. I will say it. I really think that K-pop and some of their fans are extremely superficial and I really don't want to deal with that. (I am not talking about any of you lovely ladies on my f-list-- more people I have encountered and most Korean fans (they scare the shit out of me)

I still like a lot of the music. I keep up to date about information and stuff (thanks [livejournal.com profile] omonatheydidnt), but I just...

I'm done.

If you are one of the people who friended me because I was in the k-pop fandom and you don't really want to hear me posting about Arashi anymore, then you are welcome to de-friend me.

Is there a chance I'll get back into the fandom? Sure, but I just want some sanity for a while.

Arashi and their fans make me sane. When I think about the Arashi fandom, I think, "Why can't the rest of the world get along like them?"

My best friend is Half Korean and she likes Suju a lot and she told me what some fans did to prevent 2 guys from joining Suju, really shocking. They try to kill the artists? O.O WHAT GOOD WILL THAT DO? x.x

I told her that it was impossible if she didn't preorder and she was still mad (at me too then lol). She's a huge Shochan fan so I told her to better preorder Yatterman the second we get home and lucky she did that.

Ah, I dun even remember how it started exactly. I just know that KT fans complained that it took KT so long to debut in Johnnys and they were really agressive all of a sudden. They compared KT to other Johnnys bands like SMAP and Arashi, but the bands are pretty different, especially how the bands started off, their style and all that. Somehow they managed to blame Arashi, dun ask me why and of course Jun bitchslapping Jin every other time in Utawara didn't help that LOL actually Jin and Jun are BEST FRIENDS! Jun, jin and Ryo go drinking quite often, as Jun told us in Shonen CLub Premium. The Jun-Jin quarrels are as real as the Nakai-Ohno fights in Utaban, it's just for viewer quotes and fun, I suppose ^^ ANYWHO, the KT fans got all worked up and the Arashi fans fought back and apparently some KT fans bought Arashi con tickets and yelled nasty things at the boys on stage, Aiba - RUMORS - didn't even dare to go back to the one side of the stage cuz there were fans yelling stuff at him like 'idiot' and so on. And another rumor is that KT fans brought knives and cut an Arashi fan during a con. I think Arashi fans also went to KT cons, but I dunno what happened there then. Just a few weeks/months later, some Johnny artists sent out messages to the fans and Riidaa was in charge of writing one parahgraph that was along the lines of 'don't disturb our concerts or securty will come. I will never accept you as our fans'. These letters had quite and impacted and the fight stopped.

oh wow that sounds intense..

almost similar to some stuff that happened in kpop fandom, except.. well, last year during a concert they held (which was supposed to support the unity of South Koreans etc etc) there were huge wars going on between fanclubs. Some fanclubs turned off their glowsticks during the "rivals" songs, and there was an extreme amount of violence. I mean, they're almost like GANGS. Some people got beat up, another girl got her legs broken, I heard some people got raped even, and one person got stabbed. Seriously, WTF??

but you know, I really feel that the way the KT-Arashi incident was handled was very professional and done correctly imo.

I don't know if Ohno was made to do it, or if he did it on his own, however I have kind of an inkling that he wanted to send that message out to the fans. I feel that because he stood up and made it clear that they were not happy about what was going on, it bit it in the bud and it was done for good. "I will never accept you as our fans".. for some reason that just makes me proud of Ohno for sticking up for.. well, everyone
