omg I so suck at this livejournal thing now.

It's really quite strange how my fandom life has really shifted from posting all the time on LJ to trying to keep up with a YouTube channel and a million other things that I'm doing.

I've got quite an interesting weekend booked this week -- I'm suuuuper excited!!

On Friday (tomorrow.. or.. today..?) I'm going to meet up with katzichan and mynamelessname for bubble tea tiemz and just chatting and fun timmmeeeess!!

After that I have plans with mystical_mayhem and the other girls for another drama night. I AM EXCIIIITE.

On Saturday I'm meeting up with my Japanese language partners and taking them to the capital building here and I need to figure out what I'm gonna do later with them but they have like the whole day off to hang out with me (which makes me feel really happy that they actually wanna hang out with me!) I'm thinking of bringing them to dinner to a Japanese restaurant because Lotion wanted to go out and eat there. They supposedly have okonomiyaki and a bunch of other stuff. But yeah!! I'm really excited for that!

THEN! Lotion and I may or may not be going to the circus on Sunday...

I've been working on that Seventeen translation. I got Aiba's done, but not Nino's yet.. unless people desperately want the translation now I'll post Aiba's and then Nino's and Ohno's later, but.. I think I'm gonna wait until I finish Nino's

I pre-ordered Hatenai Sora... I seem to have this urge to get every single CD that Arashi comes out with lol... although honestly? So far this fandom is not as expensive as being obsessed with video games. I feel like I'm spending 1/2 as much on actual fandom stuff, and then using the other money for stuff that I never bought before.. (like.. clothes LOL)

I listened to Time Capsule. It was a shitty radio rip.. which I'm really sad for because I didn't think it was bad.. I usually only listen to radio rips if they are HQ >_<;;; but I wanted to say that.. the song is completely different than what I had imagined and... I kind of like it a lot so far :x here's hoping the whole thing is great!!

First of all I want to thank all of you for your kind words and comments on my last entry. Some of you who are reading this can't read it if you're not on my f-list, I'm sorry.. it was quite personal though and so I felt the need to lock it. I feel much better and you guys are so sweet and each and every one of your comments made me feel really happy to have such great people around me in fandom-life.. and real life.

Our plane tickets to Japan have been bought, so this trip is pretty much official. They are non-refundable so.. we're going. Lotion and I decided to go JAL last night because it was either American Airlines or JAL... they were the same price but the plane is nicer on JAL, so we went with that. As I said on my twitter, I don't know if it's fate or a sign from the Arashi gods, but literally this morning I wake up to news of JAL using Movin' On as their BGM for their CMs. That's kind of insane, and now I am praying that this transfers over to our ticket ballots. PLEEAAASSSEEE

It's Lotion and my 6 year anniversary tomorrow. Oh my

Okay, so mystical_mayhem and Bethany (I still don't know her LJ I think ) got back from Japan last week, and I had asked if she could pick me up a few things... and if she was going to the Johnny's shop for some Troublemaker shop photos

Well, we had planned to get together on Friday and hang out and stuff... what I was expecting to get was the Pikanchi photobook and some Troublemaker shop photos.

Here's what happened instead:


 Biggest fucking haul ever, seriously.

Yeah. No amount of hearts and sparkles can express how amazing it was. So it turns out that her and Bethany planned a mini surprise birthday party for me. THIS IS SO SWEET. People don't do things like this for me, I really don't deserve it! T_T  They had decorated and got a cake with a picture of Arashi on it and rainbow colors and, and had hats and balloons and everything and aaajl;gh;ahdk. And Nino even decided to stop by for a bit!!! haha... mystical_mayhem printed out a picture of Nino's face and pasted it on to a cardboard cut out of Taylor Lautner ;; They pick the least muscular one of Arashi and put it on a muscular man -- that was kind of frightening! Too bad Nino was feeling under the weather so his throat hurt and he couldn't talk much, and he didn't move cuz he was "sore from working out" as I was told by mystical_mayhem.

This is AMAZING. SO SWEET. I am so sad that I didn't bring my camera! But mystical_mayhem came to the rescue and took some pictures for me/us  We had ice cream cake, and played some games, talked, chilled... ahh it was great after my long "Spring Break" (aka sitting and working on dreaded Senior Project for 5 days straight )

Ahhh... after that, there was an impromptu fan meeting with us girls. Unfortunately mystical_mayhem and Bethany couldn't make it to that but I scooted myself over to the dinner spot where me and katzichan, lyricalidol, unlostwanderer, Barb, hidekodahlia, and zelflame promptly screamed/laughed/had tons of fun and probably scared all the other patrons at that restaurant.

Then we popped over to get some spontaneous ice cream while we walked around in a square and talked/hummed songs/made random Arashi "in-jokes". I love those.

And then off we went to Karaoke  I managed to yoink one of the 失敗 Nino heads and it had tape on it, so I thought Nino shouldn't miss this party and I stuck the Nino head in the middle of the Karaoke screen which proved to be quite lulzy when his head was perfectly aligned with an antelope's body, or some hula dancers, or tiny baby shirtless children ETC. ETC. ETC.

Oh... it's nights like those that you wish would never end.

On the plus side -- 5x10 DVD party in 2 DAYS! I just need to somehow survive work tomorrow without going apeshit crazy from anticipation. I have been trying oh so hard to not spoil myself with those pretty teasers people are posting up on arashi_on.

I was re-watching the 2004 24-hour TV segments of each of the members. Ohno's always seems to get me the most. To refresh your memory if you don't remember, it's the one where a group of 11 deaf high schoolers wanted to dance. So Ohno took on the task of helping them out, teaching them the dance steps, and just getting to know them.

Near the end, they were still kind of fumbling up and having a hard time remembering the dance moves, so Ohno ended up extending them 11 tickets for their upcoming concert in Osaka. While there, he ended up giving them their group "sign" to try to reach them and let them know that he's thinking of them.

Afterwards, I guess they all ended up sending him mail to his phone, and one of the girls said this:

"I always blamed all my problems on my hearing loss until I started to hate myself and lost my enjoyment for living. But when I watched Arashi's concert, even though I couldn't hear it, I enjoyed music for the first time."

This really touched me. Although I'm not deaf, and haven't experienced anything close to that, I feel that with Arashi's music it was kind of the first time that I was able to really enjoy it. And then seeing their concerts was a whole different story.

It really did give me slight misty eyes. I am so thankful that they are able to make not just myself, but other people -- even deaf people enjoy music, because just listening to the music isn't the only part of it, you know? There's so much more to it, and thoroughly enjoying it is the most important and best part.

And then seeing Ohno crying like a little baby at the end, so proud of them that he's completely speechless, didn't help matters.

I love that Arashi and their fans can move me so much :)

What an interesting year it was.

I did and saw way more than I ever thought I would.

Biggest accomplishment for me - exploring and experiencing Japan. Loving it. Hating it. Making wonderful friends. I experienced things that I'd never experienced or thought I would experience before in my life.

+ Lived through 3 earthquakes
+ Saw a solar eclipse
+ Wore a yukata
+ Rode the shinkansen (so freaking awesome )
+ Saw Tohoshinki
+ ARASHI CONCERT 5 FREAKING ROWS AWAY FROM THE FRONT
+ Went to a matsuri
+ Explored Nagoya
+ Ate crepes
+ Went to Tokyo Disney & Sea
+ Went to Tokyo!
+ Visited Johnny's Shop 6 times
+ Addiction to Book Off
+ Addiction to Kiatenzushi (curse you discount sushi!!)
+ Traveled and saw Ise Shrines, the ocean, Nara, many many many many other places
+ Climbed mountains, saw 1,500 year old trees and temples
+ Saw Mount Fuji
+ Went to Odaiba -- SAW VS ARASHI TENT AND VS ARASHI COIN TOWER PUCKS (I have pics I never shared them sorry ) and saw giant gundam
+ Stayed at a ryokan

....etc. etc. etc. etc. I don't think this list will ever end.

2009 was a rollercoaster, to say the least. I'm looking forward to 2010 although it's through some pretty terrified eyes. There's going to be a big change in my life, whether I like it or not.

I've also accepted a translators position at ao_no_michi. I'll still be posting up small little projects here possibly, and most definitely will be continuing to post magazine articles here, so if you have any requests please let me know

With all that aside... I'd like to share something amusing.

My friend daone_shh I met in Japan sent me a holiday card and I received it a few days ago. But, when I looked at where it was addressed to, I suddenly burst into laughter.

Tsemin, hun.. I couldn't tell if you did that on purpose or if it was a mistake. Either way, it made me laugh and sorry for making fun of you on my blog

Well -- HERE'S TO A WONDERFUL 2010 GUYS *clinks glasses*

♥ Hung out with katzichan, lyricalidol, unlostwanderer, and (new LJ friend!) hidekodahlia yesterday for karaoke and flailing at a restaurant (haha). Oh lord, I don't remember the last time I've had that much fun with a group of friends. We sang tons of Arashi songs, some DBSK stuff, and a few other random songs. <3

♥ When we were sitting at the restaurant and talking about random stuff (i.e. screaming and annoying the other customers), we started talking about STORMY and their member cut recently. I mentioned that I somehow managed to make the cut and I had no idea how. hidekodahlia said that it was maybe to do with the fact that I'm co-creator of one of the more well known LJ communities and katzichan seemed to agree. But I'm kind of just in shock. Of course I'm happy to hear that.. I don't think xumiie and I would ever have thought that spazzcrack would have become what it is today.. but I mean.. I never even really considered spazzcrack to be one of the bigger well known ones.. I always kind of thought we were just a little community. idk?? am I way off on this one?? lmao.

♥ I've been doing my workout stuff. And I found the most amazing thing. My cooldown time is about 5 minutes, and Kitto Daijoubu just happened to come up on my ipod right when the cooldown time started, and the beat to that song goes EXACTLY to the speed of how fast I'm supposed to walk, and it's pretty much 10 seconds shy of 5 minutes. Long story short, dancing on the treadmill is fun.

♥ SHINee's new song. SHINEE'S NEW SONG. HOLY FUCK SHINee HOW MUCH MORE AMAZING CAN YOU GET. Ughhhh I love it so hardcore. ajk;ah *REPEAT FOREVER*

♥ I got my new issue of Potato recently!! The cover is hideous! But you know what that means.. Working Arashi! And a thing that tells me random things about Nino that I really didn't need to know.. like that his nose is 3.1 cm long (AND POSTERS/GLOSSIES) (and random walk News wtflolz)

♥ I'm still on the fence about 2ne1's new song. There are parts that I really like and some parts that I don't. Idkkkk I should stop being so wary and just like it. Also, I refuse to believe that Minzy is 15. That girl is fierce.

♥ I got a Dreamwidth account thanks to lyricalidol's kind donation of a code. I'm Nino. lollzzzzzz uggh idek.. I was on the fence about what to name myself for so long.

I forgot to post this yesterday because I was too busy leaping around with joy.

THE SEMESTER IS FINALLY OVER. THANK. GOD.

Yes. I hardly ever use sparkly text, but I figured it was an occasion worth using it for. I made way more friends than I ever thought I would at my stay at MCAD... of course it has to be at my 2nd to last semester, but oh well :D

Also, to make myself look even more like a dork, we had a summer send off party on campus with a BBQ and such. They also had spin art. You know, SPIN ART. I took one look at the colors they had available, and what do I think of?


Yes. You can laugh now, rinielenika :3 (P.S. my kanji is terrible because I wrote it fast and I just suck like that)

They had all their colors except for Jun, but that's okay (lol I'm horrible). Besides, the red and blue overlapped each other and made purple, so there you go.

And on a weird side note, xumiie and I have created something, but I'm not sure if I should reveal what it is yet :x.. the suspense is killing me! (we are dorks)
