Hello there bbs rice

I've been trying to sign up for this LJ messenger thing for 4 days and every time I try it just e-mails me and tells me there was an error ._.;; Frustrating. Any of you getting it to work? (Or maybe I'm the only one who has tried)

Not a whole lot has been going on with my life lately, mostly just working.. doing translating (slowly), exercising, spending time with Lotion, and... playing a little WoW here and there. thumbsup

It's been... peaceful here, I suppose :D

Anyway, I wanted to ask those of you who are interested in beauty/skin cosmetics some advice lightbulb

I take pretty good care of my skin, and usually have no issues... not a whole lot of pimples/zits or redness, but I think my last semester of school kind of killed my face and the residual effects are still there. I've got greasy LOOKING bumps on my nose/near my nose, from what I understand that's normally where that kind of thing occurs... but I've been trying to get rid of it for the past 3 months with no avail. I usually use the Clearasil Daily Face Cleansing Wash and after a while and seeing no results in my problem area I went out and tried a Clean & Clear morning scrub (with no acne treatment stuff in it, just supposed to make your skin smooth).

I used it as directed, but saw no results, so I went out and got an exfoliant.. St. Ive's Apricot Scrub, and used that as directed, gently. This one had some acne treatment in it, which I've never used before.

Well, it only seemed to make my problem areas worse and give me MORE pimples and redness... ugh. So I started using the Clean & Clear again instead, and that seemed to make it worse again. Now I'm back to just the Clearasil daily face wash, but still no changes!!

What do you guys think I should do?? I can't seem to get rid of this stupid stuff, and I just want it to go away teardrop I don't use foundation or make up or anything in the area that is having issues.. if I wear any make up it's just a little eye make up.

littlediamond Secondly I realize that I haven't really been posting my Japanese journals here as much as I used to and I'd like to remedy that flower

tv And this week's vlog! hehehehe

Oh, exciting news, though... I was invited to the YouTube Partnership program!! hehehehepeacenosign *THIS IS SO COOL~*

Hmm! bumps! well...perhaps the products you are using a too abrasive. Sometimes using too much product makes your skin crazy.

I don't know...I feel like I'm recommended this to someone already and if it's you, I'm sorry for repeating myself! lol, but I really like this product!

http://www.yesstyle.com/en/cure-cure-natural-aqua-gel-250g/info.html/pid.1021608837

It's called Cure Aqua gel. It's a really gentle exfoliator that takes off only your dead skin. I had this really weird bump...that was a zit but never surfaced! this bump was just there for ages!!!! Until I used this gel to rub off the dead skin. It's really good! It is Japanese so you should find it there.

As for clensing washes, I use Creme De La Mer facial gel. It might sound extravagant but one bottle really lasts a long time! I find it cleans my skin really well. So if the bumps are a build up of sebum or something. The wash should get rid of it.

thanks for the suggestions.. I'll have to take a look and see if I can find those around in Japan when I hop over there in a few months. I somehow have a feeling that Japanese skin care will be better for me because they tend to lessen the amount of stuff in their products, and I think my skin is finicky lol I wonder if it is just dead skin! It might be because it doesn't feel super oily honestly.

If you usually have pretty maintenance free skin then you should stop using any products on it for a few weeks and let your skin chill out. It should return to normal and you can go back to your usual routine.

you know I was thinking about that... well it's maintenance free to an extent. I use that Clearasil daily face wash every day and have been, but then my stress levels sky rocketed and I think the product didn't work to get rid of the extra oily crap etc. So I'm wondering if I should just not wash my face with anything, or just continue with the Clearasil since that technically was/is my daily routine before all this.

I always stick to using Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser (the orange one). I have yet to have problems with it. My skin can get oily as well, and this doesn't make my skin too dry.

I've also used their Men's Invigorating Face Wash to see what the difference is lol, and it felt like every single pore on my face was breathing air for the first time! It definitely woke me up. I wouldn't use it every day tho. It's good for a deep clean once in a while.

Typically, Neutrogena has worked best for me. I've tried Clean & Clear among others before, and this one has been my favorite. I've even heard dermatologists recommend it. BUT, everyone's skin is different, so you'll only know through testing them yourself.

St. Ives didn't work for me either, augh!! D:

The LJ messenger works for me but its a huge pain to use. As far as I can tell it links up with windows live messenger (msn messenger). I am on it but I don't actively sign in because its a pain. If you tried to add me I am sorry for not responding or blocking you, you can get some pretty weird people on MSN messenger so I like to be careful.

ahh.. I know what you mean about trying to be careful on MSN. I haven't tried to talk to ANYONE on the LJ messenger though, because it won't let me even sign up for it ^^;

I'm not sure if it's available near you, but I'm a huge fan of Missha face products - i cleanse, tone and moisturise with them everyday and it's really cleared up my skin, whilst still feeling really gentle.
The St. Ive's Apricot exfoliator has quite large grains and...exfoliants? in it so some people have said it irritates their skin and may cause blockages in the pores. So if you were after an exfoliant i'd look for one with 'micro beads' or small grains, which tend to be gentler anyway -or try out one for sensitive skin...and remember not to use it too much!
For any problem spots I use Neutrogena Rapid Clear - It clears up spots quickly for me, but it's strong so only apply to the spots themselves.
The last tip I can give is to moisturise after cleansing even if you're feeling like you have an oily skin type atm. If you strip your face of oil (in the cleansing process) without moisturising, your skin can go into overdrive to produce more oil to balance itself out again, hence the excess...for oily skin I'd go for a light oil free moisturiser like the Neutrogena oil-free (one of which also has an SPF in it which is handy).
Sorry thats so long! I hope it gave some ideas. I love your videos Egg-chan! Ganbatte ne!!

honestly I don't understand LJ messenger at all! ;.; *SOB SOB*

and honestly I would have no idea about those skin products ;.; I use clearasil too but my mum ALWAYS make me put on Olay Complete after I shower because she said it protects the skin from the sun or whatever. It smoothens the skin but it"s kinda just like a fancy moisturiser XD

lmao I can't even use it because it gives me an error every time I try to sign up XD

but it would be nice to get notifications of things right inside LJ instead of having to go to my inbox every time I get a new message etc.. you know?

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.. if I see that I'll take a look and see if it's right for me XD

:O SHINEE ICON?!?! WAT!

And none of that stuff worked for you??? Hmmmmmmmm :| I don't know what to say... I use this stuff lol and it works pretty well for me, but everyone's different so I have no idea.

I was actually thinking of changing soon, though XD

and omg I haven't updated my Japanese blog in like, a year @_@ lol

lololol your japanese section tells me that you really really need to join our community once we actually start getting it up and running... xD that's basically what we're going to be talking about the whole time. We just have to figure out a system and rules and stuff first XDD

hey eggchan, I read your post and thought since I work in the beauty industry Id give you some of my experience with face care products. My skin its more combination type skin but occasionally ill have really bad break outs and my skin goes crazy and oily (not fun :( ) Anyways mostly I just use a gentle aloe cleanser for my skin cuz its kinda sensitive but when I have a breakout I switch to using the Tea Tree line from The Body Shop (natural and no harsh chemicals :D). I use the oil as a spot treatment, a foaming facial wash (which is gentler then a gel) and a quick swipe of toner and then a clearing lotion, and occasionally an exfoliator ( which I only use 2-3 x a week). Sometimes it does take a little time before my skin clears up (occasionally it seems worse before its better) but then its nice and clear and I can go back to my regular cleansing routine so as not to over dry out my skin. In the past Ive tried almost all of the Clean and clear products I think but they always made my sensitive skin worse. Anyways sorry this was waaay long but i wanted to give you all the info I had, all just in my opinion of course!! good luck :) ps. drink lots of water and watch lots of arashi vids...thats helps too ;)

ah~ skin products eh? I have problems with those too x_x;
apparently, my friend has trouble with clean & clear, but another doesn't, so I guess its different with different people. hmm.
well, I use Olay Moisture Balancing Foaming Face Wash (with Vitamin E! :D) for normal/dry skin. they have different skin types, my mom actually bought it for me because she uses it...
It's really nice, and smells pretty good too. It makes me feel really refreshed, and it gets rid of the lumps easily. (i had a few small ones, and two pimples, and the small lumps disappeared overnight, or in two days, and the pimples were pretty much gone after a week :D)
good luck! and how I wish I could understand Japanese. =u=; I should really practice what my old sensei gave me.
