More work posts
Oct. 27th, 2008 11:19 pmAnother weekend come and gone. Time goes by faster and faster as we have more and more things we have to do and are responsible for. Money, jobs, school work, everything seems to pile up more and more and the more I protest against it, the faster it goes.
Halloween is almost here... if I dress up, it’ll be as what I was last year, which wasn’t really anything specific, it’s just a strange outfit with skulls, stripes, and bloomers. The bloomers that the costume came with were way too small despite the rest of the costume fitting me fine, so last year my mom and I made my own bloomers. That was an interesting adventure, but I think they actually turned out really well.
After Halloween comes Thanksgiving (and finally a break from school, thank GOD), and then Christmas, and then the New Year again. Oohh boy, Christmas presents x_x;
And as of now I will have been seriously studying Japanese on my own for about 1 year and 9 months. Actually, I’m really off track of when I started, but I’m pretty sure it was in April or May of last year. I’m really happy with how much I’ve learned, but I also feel it slightly slipping away sometimes, and other times I feel like I have quite a good grasp of it. I don’t know why I sometimes have so much trouble with it, and sometimes it comes quite naturally, but I do know I need to be posting in my Japanese journal a lot more.
じゃあ、これから頑張ります!
With the New Year also comes my study abroad... I’m extremely excited and also scared shitless. 3 months in a foreign country, away from... everybody... I’m sure I’ll be posting in my LJ like a crazed addict (at least I hope I can update everyone on my adventures... that I hope I will be having) and I’m definitely bringing my webcam, so we can webchat if need be :D (If you can find a time when I’m not talking with TJ that is huhu) I suppose the only difficulty would be the time difference lol.
I’m gonna go back to work now.
