This is gonna be like the longest post evar, so yeahhhh... D: Don’t read it if you don’t care

Wheeewww~ So this past month has been a whirlwind of car trips, sightseeing, funerals, anime conventions and hard labor

I’ve fallen behind on shows because I have had no time to even think about them lately lol.. packing.. preparing for trips etc.. has taken up all my time.

We drove down there with no problems, except for the awesome traffic going into the city.. lol. But we got to our destination and parked and got to see Jen and Peter’s new apartment It’s so cute and totally perfect for a couple’s first apartment, I think. We moved in her kitty who promptly ran under the bed, and then continued to bring more things in, which took a couple trips up and down but wasn’t too bad.

Then we were going to drive over to their old place and pick up their things but... the car wouldn’t start ;; It made crazy clicky noises when we turned the key in the ignition.. ;; so Jen called her dad and he said we either needed to let the battery rest and cool down, or we needed a jump. So we let the car rest and did some walking to the other place.. we finished up packing their stuff and then headed out again to eat some dinner. We went to this place called Medici’s (I think?) and it seemed to be a pretty big college hangout place. There was graffiti everywhere and you can just grab a pen and write on the tables/walls etc. It was cool and had pretty good food too They also had this lemonade thing where they take fresh squeezed lemons, crushed ice, and soda water and mix it together.. that was pretty good too . So we ate there and then headed back to the apartment for some R&R and sleeeeep. We all were so exhausted from moving and such that we slept at normal times.. well I guess Jen and Peter normally sleep at like 10ish but for TJ and I it was really early to what we were used to

The next day the car still didn’t start So we ended up getting the University of Chicago’s police to bring us a charge box thingy.. after some struggling with the cables to stay on the battery, we got the thing started and running and we all took a sigh of relief .. TJ and I would be able to drive home as planned, and we would be able to pack up their things from the old place.

Well, their old place has no elevators... and they were on the top floor.. needless to say, I will have the strongest calves in the history of mankind once they stop hurting. seriously, my shins and calves have never hurt this much in my life LOL. Anyway, after a couple hours of moving things we finally finished! Horrayy!! Our plan was to get all the moving done on Friday and then go sightseeing on Saturday, but obviously our plans got changed a bit because of the car trouble So we finished around 3:00pm and we took showers cuz we were all hot and sweaty and gross, and then we were just about to head out and then we heard thunder.. Well.. we decided to go out anyway, because when it rains in Chicago it only rains for a little bit and then gets sunny again, so we thought we’d be okay.. and we were

We took buses to downtown Chicago which was pretty cool, it reminded me of a smaller version of New York. Then we went to Millenium Park and saw the crazy waterfall thing with the face that spits out water.. I really don’t know how to describe it so there’s a picture for you up there .

We walked around Millenium Park for a while, saw some pretty flowers, and the giant stadium thingy they have there. They had this cool river.. thing where you can dip your feet in. I washed my hands and arms in the water cuz I didn’t feel like putting my feet in but it felt good

Lookit all the fingerprints

Then we saw the bean! THE BEAN!! Yes, I was pretty confused when Jen told me she was gonna “show me the bean”.. but I understand now. It was pretty cool and there were even people from a wedding getting their picture taken in front of it

We then walked to a giant fountain thing (??) I guess but it was really cool and misty and it felt nice in the hot weather After that we walked to Navy Pier which I had never heard of but it was so packed so I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of it. On the way over to Navy Pier we walked under a bridge which I guess was the bridge they filmed on in The Dark Knight. It looked very familiar.

When we arrived at Navy Pier I felt a little sick, but I was alright so we walked around. There is a giant ferris wheel sponsored by McDonalds which we didn’t go on, but it was pretty huuuge. We continued down the pier and saw this guy performing tricks and doing stunts. He was a pretty funny performer.. a lot of his jokes were actually funny, and some had some extremely dry humor... like “*while blowing up a balloon* I went to clown school but I flunked out.. I blew the final exam. It was a pop quiz.” Hur hur.. get it? Anyway, he made fun of Iowa so he’s cool. And he was like 300 lbs and on a unicycle with a kid sitting on his shoulders and sweating up a storm and breathing very heavily.. I thought he was gonna have a heart attack right then and there.

After Navy Pier we went to this Japanese restaurant called KameHachi.. and the reason I remember the name is because of Kamenashi I was sitting there wondering what Kame meant because it’s in Kame’s name so.... Anyway I’m a dork.. but I had really good Yaki Udon.. they put lots of vegetables in it and mmm it was good

After we got back to the apartment we all crashed again after a long day of work and sightseeing. The next day we ended up going to Mitsuwa! YAY! Ahhh.. I got anpan and it was so gooood.. so fresh ;; and I was dead set on getting C.C. Lemon, but OMG THEY WERE OUT OF IT *cry* that made me so sad...

But the cool thing was the SECOND we walked into the store, they started playing Truth!!! I was like, “OMG!” and everyone turned and looked at me and was like, “...what..?” I was like, “.......... It’s... It’s Arashi!!” and everyone turned away because I am a dork because I then proceeded to walk very fast to the CD section cuz I saw the Truth/Kaze no Mukou e singles... And I cried cuz they were expensive.. well the same price as online pretty much. Then I went to the magazine section and checked out the new Myojo which didn’t have any awesome posters in it But I was gonna get it for my collection until I saw this magazine called B-Pass with DBSK on the cover ;;

It came with postcards which I’m not gonna use as postcards obviously but put them on my wall.

And it’s got huge really nice pictures inside

I’ll try to scan this some day. Then I saw Popolo and I got that.. I usually don’t buy Popolo but I decided to get it this time.. So I got Popolo and B-Pass and I kind of regret not buying the Myojo but oh well ;

Then I ran around and bought more things while I contemplated buying the Truth Single.. in the end.. I caved.. and bought it

So.. more new things!! And I desperately wish that we had a Mitsuwa around in MN.. even if it was like 45 mins away I’d make a trip out there like once a month or something you know? WAHHHH!! *cry*

Anyway.. since I’m back on my regularly scheduled.. schedule... I’ll be here for a while probably.. because school has officially started OH NOES... ahjdklshgjkls so not ready omg.
