I seriously wasn't expecting to translate or post this anywhere near to now, but apparently here it is. I've got some free time I guess? rofl erm

I'll write about my Christmas later, which actually.. isn't over yet technically.. but I got some good presents, and I'm happy with the presents that were given out by me :D I hate throwing together gifts, because I feel like such a lazy person ;; well, anyway.. here's the translation

But! I finished another set of translations! I never thought I would finish the first one, and here I come month later with another set. *is proud of herself*

Please don't take this out of my journal without my permission.
DO NOT claim these as your own. I spend a lot of time translating these, please be respectful.
My notes are in italic like usual
Enjoy!

We won’t slow down!

[2009 – 3 Big News]

This year time passed so quickly. The three big news was the “Arashi Challenge Week”, Kokuritsu, and “Yatterman”. When I heard about the “Arashi Challenge Week” project, I thought it was going to really become something special. There aren’t really many times when a TV station and a single group collaborate. The members appeared on “News ZERO”, everyday we were able to do things we normally can’t do, and the “Odoroki no Arashi” live broadcast was great. Our old staff also came to the shooting location, and there were many times our heart strings were pulled.

Kokuritsu was you know, I was elated that we were able to do a concert at such an amazing place on our anniversary year. Right now, we’re in the middle of the tour, but there are heartwarming moments each and every time. There are the member’s greetings, and the debut song that we sing. And, after all, the rain on the last day of the Kokuritsu concert became a day to remember, and I’m sure I will never forget it.

The filming for “Yatterman” was in the year before, so if I were to think that it felt like the release was out of my hands, I would be wrong. The uplifting feeling before the premier was amazing. I even went to New York, and I was so happy that I was able to be in such an amazing and large project. …You know, we did so many different things in 2009 that I can’t settle on just three big news (laugh). In any case, I’m so happy to be blessed by everyone around us. Blessed by the fans at the concert, and the great staff we have.

[Looking back on the year 2009]

{Rather than commenting on the February issue of 2009, I seemed to be really busy with “Yatterman” for the first half of the year. It was good when I was able to have a long talk with young and hardworking people.}

Yes, Ishikawa Ryo-kun, Asada Maou-chan, Darvish-kun, Tanaka Masahiro-kun… I got to meet a lot of different people, and I’m glad that within the piling up of the people who’ve I’ve continuously met numerous times, the stances that I’ve received have all been different. So both the feeling of achievement and the degree of satisfaction is at 100 points.

[Current State]

The drama “Hanshin-Awaji Daishinsai Kara 15 Nen Koube Shinbun no Nanokakan” (On air Nihon Television in Spring) and Arashi’s “Saigo no Yakusoku” and “Tokujo Kabachi!” starting from the 17th of January (Every Sunday from 9pm on TBS) (omg Sho slow down there lol), which makes three… honestly I don’t have time to look back on our 10 year anniversary… Right now, I feel like if I give myself a reward, I’ll emotionally calm down, so I’ll probably think about it in March of next year. On the anniversary day, first we celebrated with the members. After that I met up with my manager and one thing in particular… where exactly did my memory go? (laugh) (Oh, you were drinking too much hun *patpat* please tell me you were wacking your head up against the un-opened sunroof again 8D) It seems that it was really good alcohol. “Hanshin” was just 15 years ago, and all of it really happened, so there were parts where it was scary to act, and it was hard mentally too. I feel like I have to convey the tragic reality from the position of a Kobe newspaper cameraman. “Tokujo Kabachi!” is a human-interest drama about a notary public apprentice who is inexperienced, but has human kindness, but law isn’t everything. I hope it can become a topic at both the workplace and at schools. For Christmas, I want to do this plan where all the members and manager buy and bring a 10,000 yen present (roughly $100 USD), and then we rotate the presents in time to some music, and then when the music stops, whatever present you have is what you’ll get (laugh). (This was what Ohno was speaking of in my earlier translation. Sounds like fun!) It seems fun. The present that Nino chooses could either be a really great present, or a useless present, and it would be scary to wonder which one it would be (laugh).

present Aiba's Interview
present Jun's Interview
Nino's Interview
Ohno's Interview

NOTE: In my last couple translations, in Ohno's he mentioned getting colored pencils, and some people corrected me and told me it was Ogura-san that gave him those.. oops! Also, in Nino's translation, he mentioned the Gantz movie, and through my own personal error, he did not in fact say the shooting was almost done, but that it was almost starting. Sorry for those errors!

If anyone has requests for either short video clips or magazine articles, please let me know as I'm done with this set and don't really have much else to do

Hey, thanks again for these translations. Great stuff, as always.

Though I was hoping other members apart from Jun would mention "My Girl".

That might be because I've been obsessed by this drama all fall. I mean... crying at each and every episode.
And I just watched the last three episodes - and that include the Final.

So, I am on recovery mode right now. From too much crying. *breathes deeply*

Sorry for spamming. XD My comment really isn't relevant at all!! (Though the "thank you" part is really sincere ;D)

Alright. Let's go have some sleep now. ;)

Thank you very much for translating and sharing ^^

I think Oh-chan is the most busiest out of the five. I mean he has drama, special drama and the one with Arashi too plus Arashi TV shows and news zero too, isn't that a lot of work. including other works like photoshoots for magazines and interviews. I really think that Sho-chan is really cool and really hard working. I don't think it's easy to keep up all the works when you have a lot of things to do already. Plus Arashi tour concerts too. But all these works that Sho-chan had, he did a great job in all of them ne ^^ and that's why Sho-chan is my inchiban :D

Then he talked abut' Yatterman' he seem to have a lot of fun during the filming ne because he has to fly to hear and there and have to jump to here an there too with the CG, the movie become very interesting and of course it's because Sho-chan is the main character. ^^

Ten years Anniversary of Arashi, when I saw how many thing Sho-chan has to do, I was wondering if Sho-chan even have time to rest, but when I heard that he went out with the members to celebrate their ten years, it made me relieve a bit. It meant that he can at least take a break a bit. ^^

Thanks again for translating :)
