Wow guys. This is such a late entry. I've been meaning to post this for the past couple days but it never happened *O*

Aaaanyway... this calls for a BULLET STYLE UPDATE YO

I already did a video of it on YT, so some of you have already seen, but I took pics before I opened it toooo~ I really like the cover and back in all its super plain glory hearts

shirt More clothes get? *O* Yeah well I went shopping with [ profile] sujaeya yesterday before she flew away from me (waaahh teardrop) but we did some bargain shopping so I'm really happy with what I got and I didn't spend too much!!arrowup

melody GAIZ I AM SOOOO EXCITED FOR THIS NEW ALBUM YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I think I am gonna poo myself when I get it in the mail

plane Lotion and I have been carefully planning our trip to Nippon-land... we've been really planning every little detail and possibility for things going wrong, so if something DOES go wrong, I'mma be mad and cut a bitch. I'm so on pins and needles about the ballot results though.. shocku Now that Kokuritsu results are out, I just got super duper uneasy and nervous. THIS WAITING GAME IS JUST SO DAMN HARDDDD

heartyeyes YESTERDAY WAS KIND OF THE BEST THING EVER. Hung out with a ton of Arashi fan girls, ate dinner, then went to a ridiculously insane session of karaoke which ended in 2 1/2 hours of singing nothing but Arashi songs with bongos, maracas, blow-up air guitars, chimes, and many other miscellaneous instruments. Seriously, I think that the people at the karaoke place thought we were drunk, and then when we came out completely sober their faces were like, 'wtf mate'. THEN WE DECIDED WE WANTED SPARKLERS so we drove all around town trying to find them but we COULDN'T, so we settled on s'mores which are EQUALLY AS GOOD and then found sparklers miraculously at [ profile] hinats place, and then proceeded to make a fire and run around a gigantic empty field with sparklers screaming and singing.

That was a gigantic pile of word vomit but kind of exactly how I feel at the moment and I didn't get home until 3 am but it was so worth it. hearts

rice SPEAKING OF AWESOME, [ profile] hinats yoinked napkins from Keikarou and was so awesomely kind to give us each one!! HOW NERDY IS THIS SERIOUSLY I AM NOW THE PROUD OWNER OF A NAPKIN *rubs it on her face*

Okay, so like I said before I wanted to try and continue writing about my Japan experiences by going through my pictures and trying to jog my memory..

I've been looking at my pictures and it looks like this will be a little more difficult than I thought it would be.. for now I am going to be going off the dates that are on my Facebook upload date, and then we'll see from there ^^; Once I get to the tour part of my studies it will be a little easier to remember, I think.

This week I stopped into Book Off (AGAIN), and managed to get a few more super cheap stuff and snag an Arashi CD I'm sure I was wandering around with awesome people such as Tsemin, Naomi, Yvonne and Katie, too :D

Kimi no Tame ni Boku ga Iru!

The rest of the goodies )

There was also a really awesome sunset going on that weekend and I felt so good I wanted to go out and take some pics of it

More pictures of the sunset from my balcony... I miss it )

Another big thing that I did that weekend was I went to the Haccho Miso Factory in town here. It's only 1 train station away so we decided we'd go try it out. Me, Young, Tsemin and Simon ventured over there and they have tours of the place and there's a restaurant that sells only miso flavored things. We ate lunch there and it was DELICIOUS. The special thing about this factory is that it's been around for a LONG time, and they still do everything the same way they did when they first started. Also, Haccho Miso is a darker miso so it has a bit of a stronger taste and such

They are using the same barrels to make the miso factory since the 1920s or so )

After we went to the factory we had planned to walk over to the castle. It was a very bright and sunny day that day and I remember walking to the castle (which wasn't nearly as close to the train station as the miso factory), and it was just blisteringly hot. There were no clouds and no trees either

Okazaki Castle hijinks! )

I had gone to Domy again and was just wandering around to find something new to try and I found these. They are Hi-chews, except they have some sort of little round things in them that pop kind of when you chew it. This one was flavored Soda/Cola... and to this day I'm still not sure if I like it or not ;; I liked it but I didn't at the same time

And that's that for that week. Hopefully I can work on the next week soon

Heart bullet tiem~! 8D

Had my last classes on Friday!!! LAST CLASSES. OMG. I AM DONE. WTF?????? What is going on I don't even.

 Last day also included:
  • Free pizza for lunch

  • Free food for dinner

  • Portfolio Day in which professionals came to look at artwork!

  • Snack carts with... you guessed it.. free food!

My school really tries to spoil us in the last couple weeks. Anyway, the portfolio day went alright. I had a few people who genuinely seemed interested in using my work, and they said they would contact me. So that's exciting. I also had a few people who complimented my work, which was awesome as well. However I feel like since I've been through art school, I don't know how to take a compliment on my work anymore. I'm so used to people picking at every little thing to suggest ways to make it better I can't even take a compliment.. argh.. frustrating. Art school really chews you up and spits you out. It makes you think that you are never going to be good enough, and that you will never make it alive in the real world.

Oh well.. 頑張る? ^^;

Went to a going away party for a friend on Saturday. He's going to Yamasa in a few weeks because I suggested it to him and he immediately signed up I hope he has a great time. I am quite jealous as I have been missing Japan like woah lately

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I spent most of my day with my parents. Went over in the afternoon and then we ate lunch. My mom also wanted to make some manjuu, and so we experimented and made red bean filled manjuu. It turned out pretty tasty if I do say so myself After that we ended up watching Arashi shows. Yeah, you heard me. Arashi shows. We watched part of the Himitsu no Arashi-chan that I translated, and then an episode of G no Arashi with the Sugoroku game. It was all kinds of epic.

After that we hung around for a bit and then went to dinner, and that was that. It's been a while since I spent almost a whole day with my parents.. so it was nice.

Monday I worked and man... it was a long day.

Today was interesting 8D I did my vlog like usual, and then Nicole and Bethany came over so we could go over stuff for the Arashi fan-meet that is going on in two weeks YAAYY~! So excited! After we got burnt out from brainstorming, we just hung out for a long time, went to dinner, and then chatted. Relaxing day yay~ But I feel like there's so much I need to be doing I did get a chance to clean a bit today and that made me breathe a bit of a sigh of relief. Too much clutter around here these days

As mentioned before I've been getting extremely emotional about Japan lately. The littlest things remind me of Japan and I get so sad thinking about it and I just want to go back. I was just thinking about what it felt like when I was sitting in my room drinking lovely Japanese drinks with my window open and the TV on to some random news channel. It was.. relaxing. And.. just.. blah. Life seemed so much more simpler over there. It probably wasn't, but that's how it felt. Or maybe it was.

There are certain smells and things that I see that trigger these flashbacks and then I just get really sad. I am trying to avoid watching videos on YouTube of videos in Japan because just watching those makes me remember things! And the fact that my friend is leaving for Japan, I went back on to google maps to send him my map I made of important places and I found out that they did streetview on one of the larger streets of Okazaki and I basically walked down that road again virtually. It was..... just I don't know. I should stop talking about this because I'm going to get depressed again.

But this shouldn't be happening. I shouldn't be getting so sad about this that I get depressed over it!! So frustrated.

I really am going to be working on updating my Japan blog though. Hopefully will start that soon

Anyway, here's the vlog for this week:

So, sorry to seem really random, but I have a 2010 resolution to try to finish my Japan journal.

I will be scouring my brain (and of course my giant picture folders) and writing about the rest of my experiences which I (so sadly) didn't finish writing about.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Ohno beauty)

This photoshoot is freaking awesommmeee just look at how inflexible Mr. Failboat is there haha

What an interesting year it was.

I did and saw way more than I ever thought I would.

Biggest accomplishment for me - exploring and experiencing Japan. Loving it. Hating it. Making wonderful friends. I experienced things that I'd never experienced or thought I would experience before in my life.

+ Lived through 3 earthquakes
+ Saw a solar eclipse
+ Wore a yukata
+ Rode the shinkansen (so freaking awesome )
+ Saw Tohoshinki
+ Went to a matsuri
+ Explored Nagoya
+ Ate crepes
+ Went to Tokyo Disney & Sea
+ Went to Tokyo!
+ Visited Johnny's Shop 6 times
+ Addiction to Book Off
+ Addiction to Kiatenzushi (curse you discount sushi!!)
+ Traveled and saw Ise Shrines, the ocean, Nara, many many many many other places
+ Climbed mountains, saw 1,500 year old trees and temples
+ Saw Mount Fuji
+ Went to Odaiba -- SAW VS ARASHI TENT AND VS ARASHI COIN TOWER PUCKS (I have pics I never shared them sorry ) and saw giant gundam
+ Stayed at a ryokan

....etc. etc. etc. etc. I don't think this list will ever end.

2009 was a rollercoaster, to say the least. I'm looking forward to 2010 although it's through some pretty terrified eyes. There's going to be a big change in my life, whether I like it or not.

I've also accepted a translators position at [ profile] ao_no_michi. I'll still be posting up small little projects here possibly, and most definitely will be continuing to post magazine articles here, so if you have any requests please let me know

With all that aside... I'd like to share something amusing.

My friend [ profile] daone_shh I met in Japan sent me a holiday card and I received it a few days ago. But, when I looked at where it was addressed to, I suddenly burst into laughter.

Why, you may ask? )

Tsemin, hun.. I couldn't tell if you did that on purpose or if it was a mistake. Either way, it made me laugh and sorry for making fun of you on my blog

Well -- HERE'S TO A WONDERFUL 2010 GUYS *clinks glasses*

And here ends my trip. My plane flies out tomorrow.

It was fun, Japan.

I don't want it to end.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - 5x10)

What is this picture of you might ask?

....a picture that I illegally took with my phone. From my seat.

Holy. Fuck.

Of course, it was taken before it rained a typhoon on us, but that's another story. Okay, UMMMMM first of all, this never happens to me. I seriously... SERIOUSLY got lucky (thanks of course to Michelle~!! such a sweetie <33). But now that I've had a taste... I must go back for more. This was seriously one of the best experiences in my life, even while in a typhoon. wtf, only Arashi. Wow. You can't see it in this picture, but the main stage was just to the left of us, so we weren't dead on, but we could see it from the front enough.

On to the con report and my incoherent flailing )

In conclusion: I was soaked to the bone, my fingers were prunes, a lot of my things got destroyed by the rain, and my shoes and socks were squishing water out of them.

By the way, if they do make a DVD of this concert (THEY BETTER), it would be really hilarious if they used this one. Because well.. you know.. Arashi.. conjuring up an arashi.. during their concert..?? XD But they were all soaked, so I doubt it. But who knows. It would be awesome if they did haha.

Anyway, I also have some bad news, but I'm going to have to write about it later, because I need to go to sleep.. like nowwwww.

But I wanted to post this up because I've spent like 5 hours writing it up and trying to scour my brain for memories of this.

In even more conclusion:

Arashi is even more amazing, and I'm not quite sure how they did it but they made me fall even more in love with them, while I was in a typhoon.

Also if any of you have questions about the con or how they look in real life etc, go ahead and ask and I'll try to the best of my ability to answer.

More on this later.

Probably my last post before the concert. Omggggg hjkdhgklhgdkjslhgds.

Uchiwa is done. Mostly. Phew, that took a long time -_-; After much deliberation, I finally decided to just put "食べて!" but then just before putting it on, I thought, "I don't want them to think that I think they're too anorexic and need to eat a hamburger or something...".. so after a little research, I found out that "一口食べて!" means something along the lines of "Take a bite!". So I went with that :)

So. Here it is:

Side 1

Side 2

And my Arashi filled walls.. with not all my Arashi posters on it. omg x_x;

So. Comments? Too weird? Stupid? Let me know so I don't embarrass myself haw haw. (Like this morning when I said to one of my classmates who was carrying a package, "Nice package". EMBARRASSING.)

eggchan: (J-Drama//Oguri Shun)
I realize that this is extremely way overdue. But I've been having too much fun, and once I got behind 2 weeks, I was way too lazy to try to update it. Oops :x Sorry guys x_x;

But omg Arashi concert in like.. 3 DAYS WTF. My brain still can't comprehend it right now, I don't think. I'm making an uchiwa.. one side says "10周年おめでどう!" and I am having trouble with the other side.

I'm tempted to put something really sappy on it, or something really strange. And for some reason when I think strange, all I can think is to make the uchiwa look like a giant hamburger that says "EAT ME" in giant letters. Although I'm not sure how to translate that into Japanese. Would it just be "食べて!"? For some reason that doesn't seem forceful enough, and "食べろ!" seems too aggressive....?

Baaahhhhh どうしよう、、、?

Oh P.S. Also woah at the DBSK activity suspension.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Sho WHEEE)
Yes I am still alive. In fact, I'm extra alive.

eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Round the Group Up)

Sorry for the neglect :x I don't know why I keep putting off entries and such. I'm just busy studying, and worrying about money.

Well to start off.. we got 5 new people into our dorm this week, so it's definitely become much more lively around the house, which is nice. I had bought a whole bunch of flour, milk, and eggs so that I could make pancakes cuz I was kind of craving them. I didn't really know what to do with the milk, cuz there was so much of it.. so I suggested a pancake party lol.

Pancakkkesssss )

On Thursday I was invited to go to the cafe nearby that has the parfaits, "Cat's Cafe". There was a group of about 10 people going to eat the giant 4,100 yen parfait that that offer there. I agreed to join them, and we walked in the super humidity. When we got there, we sat and immediately ordered the parfait.

Let's see.. it took us 10 minutes to devour it.. )

After we did the parfait, Young and I went to the magazine/music/manga/video game store in the mall. I was planning on getting the newest Potato, and the newest volume of Nodame Cantabile. I went to the magazine section and got the Potato..

The poster :D

I'm wondering if I am over doing it?? rofl

Anyway, I ended up wandering around the music section to see if they got anything in used..

I've given up trying to find the limited edition of this, but they had the regular edition USED. The Arashi section in the used section is always empty. So... I had to ^^;;

I also found this in the used "clearance" section for.. get this.. 260 yen. It's the DVD/CD. I couldn't believe it..

Anyway, they were all out of the most recent Nodame volume. Which makes me sad, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, as it's one of the most popular mangas in Japan.

So then on Friday... I ended up hearing about an arcade with a few fighting games and such that was (sort of) nearby, and wanted to go check it out. There was another group of people going, so I tagged along with them. There's actually 3 arcades (that I know of) around here.. one of them I met them at and it was tiny and totally run down, so we ended up walking to the other side of the city (sort of lol) to the other one that they had been to. It was not huge, but it had a lot of fighting games and some rhythm games. They had Pop'n Music 17 The Movie, which made me happy.

I ended up spending 300 yen trying to figure out the menu, cuz it was really strange. In the end, I figured it out.. )

On Saturday, I went to meet a friend that [ profile] aichijet introduced me to. She also likes Arashi, and so we chatted and.. went to the Johnny's shop :x Oh boy.. I know where it is now, so... >_>;;

I restrained myself, I swear. )

After the Johnny's shop, we ended up going to a karaoke place and singing for like 4 hours.. It was about 900 yen for unlimited time and 1 drink, which wasn't bad. I'm sure if we went later, it would have been even worse. But it was so nice to karaoke with someone who knows Arashi--let alone Japanese songs in general.

After I came home, it was one of the dorm mate's husband's last day in Japan, so we went to their favorite restaurant/bar to celebrate. It was really cool.. you get your own little tatami room with a table, and then they had really delicious looking pizza's that I'll have to get eventually.

We learned some really silly Taiwanese games, including one called "Seaweed", so for the sake of things we called it "Nori" since everyone knew how to say that lol. What you do is play rock, paper, scissors until someone wins. Then the person who wins has to pick "high", "medium", "low", or "out to the sides", and say "NORI NORI NORI NORI". If the person who lost does the same move as the person who won, he or she loses. XD If you don't, you go back and forth trying to get the other person to do the same move as you. It's basically to see people make fools of themselves. xD

Tadaaaa. XD It was super fun, and we made the waiter play the game with us as well haha.. he was really funny.

Anyway, on Sunday I went to the Aeon mall with [ profile] chop_sockey, Young, and Tsumin. It's Raechel's last week in Japan, so she wanted to go shopping for some omiyage and such. I wanted to get a macha frappe to try.

It was nummy :D

There's also a Mister Donut in the mall, and I kept hearing all these amazing things about it.. they were having a sale for everything for 100 yen, so I decided to go for it.

But I got too much and I could hardly finish it haha. (The donut holes were 100 yen for the whole thing)

After we shopped around with Raechel for a while, I had planned to go to a movie with a few people. So me and 3 other people went to see Gokusen :D It was expensive, so I don't think I'll get to see another movie while I'm here, but seeing a Japanese movie in theaters was on my list of things I wanted to do in Japan. It was a cute, but predictable movie. Kame of course was in it, but for some reason I didn't realize that Miura Haruma was one of the main characters, which made me happy! Oguri Shun, Narimiya Hiroki, and Hayami Mokomichi also made guest appearances :D No Matsujun, but I was expecting that.. still was a little disappointed that he didn't surprise me by being in it for like 3 seconds at least XD;

Anyway, like I said it was cute, but I think a very good choice for someone learning Japanese. Not a whole lot of weird terminology that I needed to know to get the plot of the movie.

I also watched Buzzer Beat on Monday, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :o so I'll be watching it again next week. Of course Arashi no Shukudai-kun was watched.. Arashi in baby outfits is hilarious. XD

And now this post is going to be finished because it is long enough already haha.

So... please look forward to the next extremely long post xD;;

[Error: unknown template qotd]

"I got sunshine in a bag" on August 20th, 2001.

I have had this blog for far too long. But that is also one reason why I refuse to change my LJ... it's basically got my entire life from middle school, through High School, College and now. I only wonder what would happen if LJ broke and lost all my entries. D: I don't want to think about it.

Anyway, things have been fairly busy. (Here goes another way too long post cuz I was too lazy to update over the weekend D:) On Wednesday, a friend of mine from class was leaving because it was his last week. *sadface* Actually 2 of my friends left, but T_T. Anyway, he had a going away party and so I decided to join in the festivities and say goodbye to him. Luckily he lives in Japan with his family so I think he is going to come back and visit every so often.

We went to a restaurant called びっくりドンキー (Surprised Donkey). Don't ask. )

Then on Friday there was a 4th of July party that one of the students was holding, which I liked to call "Yay America Party". There was good ol' American food (which gave me a stomach ache, because I ate too much, and also probably because I'm so used to eating Japanese food now lol). Anyway, there were hamburgers (lucky for me the girl who was hosting it was also a vegetarian and made some grilled cheese sandwiches), potato salad, and the most delicious peach cobbler I've ever eaten in my life...

Someone bought poppers and we sang the national anthem and popped them off

More of what went on and the craziness! )

On Saturday, I had planned an outing to Nagoya with [ profile] chop_sockey and crew, so we met up at 10am at the train station, and off we went! On our way to Nagoya on the JR, a sumo wrestler got on the train with us, standing about 4 feet away. I felt really bad because I started laughing really hard, but Raechel's reaction was just so priceless, I couldn't stop. I could totally hear the "holy crap" expression sound effect they put on Japanese TV (and Arashi shows) all the time. She managed to be fairly sneaky and get a picture, which I am going to steal for the sake of proving that I was on a train with a sumo wrestler.

...and so the adventure begins... )

And we came home tired and exhausted. My legs and feet hurt SO bad when I got back, I just sat and did just about nothing on Sunday. Aside from some errands and such :) I will take pictures of the Yukata, necklace, and shirt thing soon! Here's more pictures of bakery goods I bought recently.

It was pretty good. A little plain, but tasty. Had a little hint of sweet potato in it.

SO GOOD. It was like a croissant with chocolate drizzled on top, and IN THE MIDDLE. Yummymyyyy

And last night I watched Utaban, which was entertaining, and also Music Lovers with Arashi as the guest! :D It was funny. The guests picked who they thought was the most popular (Matsujun of course), and Arashi also wrote down what they thought. Ohno put down that he thought Sho was the most popular, and his reasoning? "He's really good looking". XD

Okay, I'm out! Love you all, and miss you!
eggchan: (J-Pop//Namie Amuro is beautiful)
I shouldn't put off writing in this because then it turns into this gigantic post of doom. ^_^;; I applaud anyone who reads the whole thing.. seriously.

Anyway.. since the concert, on Sunday I went out with a friend (who likes Arashi, but had her last day today :(( ) to a mall nearby. It wasn't the large one, but another one. This one has a movie theater in it though, so I may end up going to see Gokusen, or.. I don't know yet! :x I'd like to definitely see Crows Zero 2 when it comes out. Maybe Harry Potter?

Anyway, we walked around, did some shopping, eating, and purikura-ing. That is now a verb :) There is an AU store in there, and they had a (near) life size standee of Arashi. T__T

More pics under the cut :D )

Yeah.. hehe.. so we ended up being dorks and taking our pictures in front of it. She took the side of Sho, I took the Ohmiya side XD We did some shopping/looking around at a store that has just about everything. Magazines, books, manga, games, music, electronics, etc. It was really quite awesome. I of course, got a(nother) magazine. >_>;

And it came with...

I swear my room is going to be full of posters by the time I get back x_x; Anyway, after that we ended up going to a parfait place because we received a coupon from a store employee in the mall earlier that day. If you purchase something for 500 yen or more, you get a free drink. Le gasp. Well, I was excited because I heard they had good parfaits there, and I had eaten a light lunch to save room for some yummy Japanese parfaits.

Seriously, soooo good :x

Pictureesss )

We then ventured out to get some purikura. That was our original main goal I think. XD This one was a little different than the one we did before. They all seem to be different but have the same stickers/decoration stuff.. but the way they take pictures is all different. Either way I want to do the one where you can look like you're in a UFO or something. XDD

I think we overdid the sparkles.. seriously XD )

I also attempted to get these cute little bears, but failed absolutely miserably XD;

Eventually we headed our separate ways. It was fun and I hope to do lots more purikura with lots of people :D

Anyway, Monday and Tuesday were fairly uneventful. Went to class, did homework, watched AnS finally on TV :) Tuesday I watched the final episode of Atashinchi no Danshi. Ugh, what a let down, seriously -_-; I mean, I guess it was a cute, happy ending, but... I was definitely expecting more. Oh well, I'll have to look up and see what's on the agenda for next season.

On Wednesday our school had a mini 七夕祭り (Tanabata Festival). It's a little early, as Tanabata is held on the 7th of July, but I think they wanted to make sure that we could go to the real celebrations on the actual day. (I need to buy a yukata!! crap!) We had a little tree brought in and people made their wishes and tied them up on the tree. We also made designs and decorations with paper and put them up on the tree, and sang the traditional song as well.

たくさん友達になりますように ♥ 嵐のコンサートに行きますように ^^

...continue... )

Afterward I hung out with my Arashi friend who is leaving today (sadface) and we went to the cafe that's next door to our school called "きつつき". Neither of us had been, and I said well.. we're right next to the school, why not check it out? She got an iced coffee and I ended up getting a cream soda.. which I guess is blue here? XDD With ice cream in it. It was good, but.. XD very blue.

So when I returned home, Ojii-chan had come up and was talking with one of the other girls here. I guess he wanted to make me "real Japanese home cooking", but since finding out that I was a vegetarian, scoured his recipe knowledge base (his brain I think haha) for Japanese traditional cooking that didn't have meat in it. Ahhh so sweet. x_x; So.. we went and helped shell some Gingko nuts for what he was making. I had never seen or eaten them before... but, we did that and he chatted to us.

Long story about the food etc )

And that brings us to now. So, I am just going to end with my goodies from the THSK tour, and a few random photos.

More stuffs :D )

Pumpkin Croquettes. Omg so good. :x And yes, it is true that Japanese pumpkins taste much different (better) than American ones.

Some delicious egg custard bakery good. Yummy!!
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Junsu)
Alright, here goes..

My first con report ever :O (I guess my Hollywood Bowl post was kind of a con report?)

Before the concert.. )

The con begins... )

Afterward, we all filed out and as we walked out the staff gave us little cards that said that you could go online with your cell phone and get a Thank You message from DBSK, but.. alas, I can't do that lol oh well. The giant crowd of us walked to the station. I was hoping that everyone would be going back into Nagoya (I'm in the opposite direction), so the train wouldn't be so packed. I was right!! The train to Nagoya was so full, from the other side of the station I watched as people were shoved into the train so that the doors could shut. People were pressed up against the glass, like in cartoons XDD where they get smashed against a window or a piece of glass. It was pretty funny, and I am so glad I wasn't on that train. XD

The ride home was alright. At first there were no seats, so I stood and almost fell asleep ala salary man style, holding onto the hand rails...rings, whatever they're called. By the end of the night, I was so tired and hungry, when I got home I made my leftovers and pretty much passed out. XD

But wow. 3 1/2 hours of DBSK.. my first concert.. and in Japan.. first time on the train. It's definitely something I will never forget.

But I really wish it wasn't prohibited to take pictures at things like this -_-

But in the end... seeing DBSK again was quite the experience, and I truly feel so lucky that I was able to go.
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Yoosu love)
I am writing this before I forget and will be making a proper post about the con soon:

+ Junsu is still the best singer, but damn... I think Changmin is the 2nd best (I never thought that until now)

+ Yoosu love on the treadmill

+ Changmin forgot his lines haha

+ Yunho is still a slut

+ Jaejoong's voice sounded like he had inhaled helium at times (even when he was just talking). I'm confused, but there were other times where he sounded perfectly normal/really good

+ Junsu did a solo part and it gave me chills

+ So did Jaejoong (Begin)

+ They sang "Stand By U" :O

+ Talked about Junsu's butt during the break

+ I think they also tried to get Changmin to talk about porn (? I think lollll wtf)

+ Silly faces made by Micky >> Silly noises made by Jaejoong

+ Not the greatest spots in the world, but Nagoya hall is small. If they went stage right they were about 40 feet away.

+ Going to reiterate what [ profile] readyforever said in an earlier post. The videos of train workers pushing people in to trains so they can fit actually happens. Luckily I was going the opposite direction that everyone else wanted to go lol

+ I AM SO TIRED OMGGGG T_T My body is going to hate me in the morning

It's really weird being in Japan for this. Also I don't really have my pictures/etc to make a graphic, so sorry for being cheap Nino :P

And I'm watching a show with Masami-chan and a bunch of Japanese comedians in old lady outfits and scary makeup and jewelery picking out items in a 100 yen shop (???) Well, at least Masami-chan is cute

Short entry today because I'm really exhausted.

Had my placement test today, which went alright. We'll see what class I'm put in tomorrow. I also missed Himitsu no Arashi-chan today T_T;; because I wanted to socialize and meet people, so I did that instead. Also VS Arashi isn't broadcast over here :((

But I found out one of the dorm girls also likes Arashi. And I've got a Karaoke "date" with a few other people from school.. so. EXCITED! :DD Unlimited drinks and.. probably WAY cheaper than back home.

Not really any new pictures today. ^_^; I'm super tired so I'm gonna sleeeep now. <3

Soooo... it's about 5:00 over here in the land of the rising sun. Today has been uneventful.. yet eventful if only for the fact that I got to kind of explore, look around, and get some shopping/errands done.

I ate some inari and some sushi with cucumbers, egg, pickled... something (I don't remember what it was but all I know is I like it lol), and some pinkish... stuff? If anyone knows what that is let me know. Is it some sort of fish? I'll try to get a picture up of it. Anyway, after I ate it my head started to feel funny, so I thought maybe it had meat in it and was making me feel woozy. Well anyway, I only really feel it when I'm sitting and sometimes standing. And it feels like I'm in an airplane. So I figured that one out XD;

Okay, okay.. I bet you are all wondering about the pictures *dun dunnn* I will get to them :)

I haven't taken too many yet, but I've got some of my room and also outside a bit.

Venture into my room :) )

On the rooftop )

Anyway, that's that. I'm getting super sleepy, and I tried to take a nap but that didn't work.

I went out and got some groceries at the grocery store nearby.. and I guess at that store you're supposed to bring your own bag lol. Soooo.. I had to stuff my bag with my groceries and carry the rest. I felt kind of lame haha but oh well. I learned my lesson and bought a cute eco bag from the dollar store. Which I also went to and got an umbrella and slippers.. and I forgot to get a cup :( aw. (also almost everything at the dollar store is not 100 yen. Which is weird ^^;; cuz it says it's the dollar store. Oh well.) I also couldn't help myself and bought a copy of Wink Up with Nino on the cover and a giant poster of him on the inside :x

Sidewalks are also really tiny. They're seriously like |-----------| that big. Which is kind of cool haha idk... everything is so different here, it's really quite interesting. Even the birds make different noises. There's one going on right now that sounds like an old lady hacking up a lung. Seriously. And yes, it's a bird and not an old lady hacking up a lung. I checked :P

Customer service is also so weird but awesome. The grocery store had a guy directing traffic and people walking across the street. I wasn't crossing the street, but the entrance and exit to the parking lot for the grocery store. He put his arm out and said はい、どうぞ~.. XD

I'm also noticing that I'm bowing. A lot. Like I know that you're supposed to bow, but I just keep doing it unconsciously. Like a salaryman.

I've also done some cleaning up and storing/etc. So things look a little more neat and I'm waiting for my ice cubes to freeze because I want cold water. I'm so thirsty haha omg.. 喉がすごく渇きました。

Alright, well.. my placement test is tomorrow morning at 9. We'll see which class they put me in. There's still a lot that I have to say/want to say, but my brain is kind of foggy still.

Also: ひみつの嵐ちゃん on tomorrow night. Wooooooop woop
