Yes, well...

So I did want to write about what I've been doing lately, I really have.. ; I just never found the time to actually write what I wanted to.. hrmmm.

Well anyway, I actually DO want to update with stuff, so... without further ado! (In as chronological order as I can get it)

apple 2 weeks ago on Tuesday, I went with [livejournal.com profile] mystical_mayhem to see Hanson!

...more on Hanson! )

I seem to like all the groups that still play their debut song 10 years later, don't I? catface

apple Up NEXT, we have Scott Pilgrim VS the World! I saw the movie opening night, and it was really great! I highly enjoyed it, although I hear it deviates from the comic after the first 1/2, but that those who read the comic still highly enjoyed the movie.. good sign in my opinion bird It's good.

apple OBON FESTIVAL! Every year, there is an Obon festival at our local zoo here.. I wasn't able to go last year because well.. I was IN Japan, but I went again this year and we had a mini Arashi fan meet hehehehe I even managed to put my yukata on by myself... and tye the damn obi by myself as well! I'm glad I know that I can do it all by myself now. Good to know thumbsup

I was seriously surprised that I could get the obi tied by myself -- it was only the 2nd time I've done it! And that fan on the back kept popping up when I moved around, but it was for the 夏祭り in Okazaki last year -- I love it I think it's so cute! Btw my shoes totally do not match my yukata! I really don't have anything better yet! ._.;;

Of course I had to bring my Ohno uchiwa as well hehehehe Actually, we had probably 4 or 5 girls walk up to our group and ask us where we got our uchiwas... tons of other Arashi fangirls!! Compared to 3 years ago when we went and one girl working at the place thought [livejournal.com profile] katzichan's Sho uchiwa was Jun... and that's it!! I was so surprised. Seriously, Arashi is taking over the world.

I also managed to scare a bunch of Japanese girl scouts... *sigh*.. )

Anyway, it was quite fun and I'm glad that we got to go.. also, by some sort of crazy miracle bestowed upon her, [livejournal.com profile] lyricalidol found an original copy of the Kaibutsu-kun manga!! How insane is that!? And I'm almost thinking it'd be really fun to translate it haha.

apple I didn't get Tokyo dome tickets. it really really sucks... but I'm not giving up yet. I/We can't afford to buy those $700 tickets from the auctions, but I'm doing things my own way and hoping that I can get us some tickets in my own methods.

Wish me luck bomb

appleA VLOG: (It's super late this week, sryyy I forgot to post it haha)

apple And I think that mostly brings us up to date! I hope you have enjoyed this compact version of the life of egg sparkles

ahjkdhadg'ahgdhad;gda!!!!

OMG!! When I got home from work today I saw a package on the kitchen table and I started grinning like a maniac.. and then I ran down to my room and proceeded to prance around like a ninny!

Ahh~~ I'm so happy!!

My first actual con DVD.

Finally ;

In other news, MONSTER you guys! Big thanks to [livejournal.com profile] emiyc for directing me to a really nice quality rip of it Every time I hear it I'm reminded of [livejournal.com profile] daone_shh... only because she was our 桃モンスター while we were out in Japan. SO BAD. I miss many of the drinks, actually. I'm always so disappointed in the selection of drinks we have here in the states. Does EVERYTHING have to be carbonated and/or soda? I could really go for some Qoo right about now

Okay I'm gonna stop thinking about Japan before I get depressed ;;

In other OTHER news, I inked for about 4 hours last night, and I guess I really fucked up my shoulder/arm area. I've been having muscle problems for the past 2 or 3 years now, and I've been seeing a chiropractor as many times as possible but I really did myself in this time. The whole day my left arm has been hurting, and the muscle near my shoulder/shoulder blade area twitches constantly. THE most annoying thing ever.

But who cares~ I've got my 5x10 DVD~~~ LALALALLALALLALALAA

EDIT: I FORGOT TO MENTION~ My new phone wallpaper that I made earlier today 8D It was actually kind of a coincidence that all their faces happened to be pointing in a circle I am artistic on an accident-basis only 8D どうぞ~

eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Jun @ Kokuritsu 9.30 ♥)

I have not properly fangirled about the 5x10 DVD on my LJ yet.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I had some of the local girls come over and had a little viewing party. It was marvelous. And we even had some awesome decorated cupcakes and cookies

But. Can I just say...

 Arashi was so...

  So...

 SO...

...Happy.

It makes me happy, too.

And this just--ahjkldgha;dg

I started making a few gifs to get a head start for [livejournal.com profile] spazzcrack and have a few to share on here but I ended up making way, way too many  I am not even posting half of them here augh... but there will be more to come, I promise you that!!

Everything about the DVD made me remember so much. It was a miracle I didn't start crying--although I was close. Plus, their speeches before 5x10 were so sweet... especially Nino's and Jun's.

Every time I re-watch this part it makes me feel really proud and idk just ahjdkghd;;

The beginning, I clearly remember the opening music and as soon as I heard it in the DVD I got these chills. And then when they started flying over the audience while singing 感謝カンゲキ雨嵐, every time I closed my eyes all I could see was the view from where I was standing.When they started singing We Can Make It, that's when they came around near me and as soon as the song started all I saw in my head was the image I saw when I finally, finally saw Arashi up close. After 4 long years of waiting ... and never thinking I would have the opportunity.

While I was in Japan, I learned that my dreams can come true too. I am not some insignificant soul who can only aim as low as possible so that I won't disappoint myself. I just... need to work hard

Anyway... the whole DVD was just fantastic. And the 9.30 digest they put in there of course brought back more memories. I don't remember that much rain. I remember thinking, "Holy crap it's raining a lot", but I just didn't care in the end. They cut out a lot of stuff I thought they would include, though! Which brings me to this point:

3 things that I was sad they didn't include!

1) There are no behind the scenes clips. I suppose with the sheer quantity of stuff on the DVD, though they couldn't fit any more in, but they could not have NOT filmed anything. I want behind the scenes!!

2) Why oh why did they put the part where the members told Jun they wanted him to wear his present during the encore, but not put the part where he WORE IT IN THE ENCORE?? They even put part of the encore in there! *points up at icon* See? SEE?! He is wearing it! At the encore! That made me sad.

3) They also some how very sneakily edited out the part where seconds before they covered the cake back up, J un shoved his hand into the cake and took a gigantic bite of it. And then they gave him his present and he had to wash his hands, so he ran down the stage to a puddle and washed them there  -- BUT the part where Jun kissed the camera is still in there, and if you watch it there are still bits of cake all over his mouth

I can't wait for my copy to show up!!

Also I totally forgot to post my last Vlog up, so here you go:

I HAVE PHOTOSHOP BACK~~

Which also means I have ImageReady and I can make gifffsss agaiiinnnnnnn yayayayay thank you so much [livejournal.com profile] sujaeya

I downloaded the AAA 2008 actual DVD about a week ago (12 GB holy jesus) and last night I decided to watch part of the "Fight in Kokuritsu" again... well, who would have known that turned me into a crazy person, realizing I was watching the DVD of a concert that was held in the same arena I was in!! I started thinking, "omg.. I WAS THERE. WTF??" With Photoshop back, now I can do THIS AGAIN:

:D/ *glee* I'm way too excited about this.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Round the Group Up)
Oh.

My.

GOD.

More on this later.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Aiba)
Probably my last post before the concert. Omggggg hjkdhgklhgdkjslhgds.

Uchiwa is done. Mostly. Phew, that took a long time -_-; After much deliberation, I finally decided to just put "食べて!" but then just before putting it on, I thought, "I don't want them to think that I think they're too anorexic and need to eat a hamburger or something...".. so after a little research, I found out that "一口食べて!" means something along the lines of "Take a bite!". So I went with that :)

So. Here it is:

Side 1

Side 2

And my Arashi filled walls.. with not all my Arashi posters on it. omg x_x;

So. Comments? Too weird? Stupid? Let me know so I don't embarrass myself haw haw. (Like this morning when I said to one of my classmates who was carrying a package, "Nice package". EMBARRASSING.)

P.S. I LOVE 5x10 AND ESPECIALLY THE HIDDEN TRACK OMG. SAKURAP, YOU KILL ME.
eggchan: (J-Drama//Oguri Shun)
I realize that this is extremely way overdue. But I've been having too much fun, and once I got behind 2 weeks, I was way too lazy to try to update it. Oops :x Sorry guys x_x;

But omg Arashi concert in like.. 3 DAYS WTF. My brain still can't comprehend it right now, I don't think. I'm making an uchiwa.. one side says "10周年おめでどう!" and I am having trouble with the other side.

I'm tempted to put something really sappy on it, or something really strange. And for some reason when I think strange, all I can think is to make the uchiwa look like a giant hamburger that says "EAT ME" in giant letters. Although I'm not sure how to translate that into Japanese. Would it just be "食べて!"? For some reason that doesn't seem forceful enough, and "食べろ!" seems too aggressive....?

Baaahhhhh

助けてくれない?^^;;

Oh P.S. Also woah at the DBSK activity suspension.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Sho WHEEE)
Yes I am still alive. In fact, I'm extra alive.

I AM GOING TO SEE ARASHI ON THE 30TH OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGG which also happens to be JUN'S BIRTHDAY OMFGGG

Appropriate icon is appropriate.
eggchan: (J-Pop//Arashi - Sho WHEEE)
Hello.

Does anyone know anyone who is in the Arashi fanclub who could help me get a ticket for their concert?? T_____T I only need 1 ticket for any of the first 3 dates (the 28th, 29th, or 30th of August) in Tokyo.

If you can help me, or know anyone who can, please let me know!!

Thank you!! ♥♥
eggchan: (J-Pop//Namie Amuro is beautiful)
I shouldn't put off writing in this because then it turns into this gigantic post of doom. ^_^;; I applaud anyone who reads the whole thing.. seriously.

Anyway.. since the concert, on Sunday I went out with a friend (who likes Arashi, but had her last day today :(( ) to a mall nearby. It wasn't the large one, but another one. This one has a movie theater in it though, so I may end up going to see Gokusen, or.. I don't know yet! :x I'd like to definitely see Crows Zero 2 when it comes out. Maybe Harry Potter?

Anyway, we walked around, did some shopping, eating, and purikura-ing. That is now a verb :) There is an AU store in there, and they had a (near) life size standee of Arashi. T__T

More pics under the cut :D )

Yeah.. hehe.. so we ended up being dorks and taking our pictures in front of it. She took the side of Sho, I took the Ohmiya side XD We did some shopping/looking around at a store that has just about everything. Magazines, books, manga, games, music, electronics, etc. It was really quite awesome. I of course, got a(nother) magazine. >_>;

And it came with...

:DDDD

I swear my room is going to be full of posters by the time I get back x_x; Anyway, after that we ended up going to a parfait place because we received a coupon from a store employee in the mall earlier that day. If you purchase something for 500 yen or more, you get a free drink. Le gasp. Well, I was excited because I heard they had good parfaits there, and I had eaten a light lunch to save room for some yummy Japanese parfaits.

Seriously, soooo good :x

Pictureesss )

We then ventured out to get some purikura. That was our original main goal I think. XD This one was a little different than the one we did before. They all seem to be different but have the same stickers/decoration stuff.. but the way they take pictures is all different. Either way I want to do the one where you can look like you're in a UFO or something. XDD

I think we overdid the sparkles.. seriously XD )

I also attempted to get these cute little bears, but failed absolutely miserably XD;

Eventually we headed our separate ways. It was fun and I hope to do lots more purikura with lots of people :D

Anyway, Monday and Tuesday were fairly uneventful. Went to class, did homework, watched AnS finally on TV :) Tuesday I watched the final episode of Atashinchi no Danshi. Ugh, what a let down, seriously -_-; I mean, I guess it was a cute, happy ending, but... I was definitely expecting more. Oh well, I'll have to look up and see what's on the agenda for next season.

On Wednesday our school had a mini (Tanabata Festival). It's a little early, as Tanabata is held on the 7th of July, but I think they wanted to make sure that we could go to the real celebrations on the actual day. (I need to buy a yukata!! crap!) We had a little tree brought in and people made their wishes and tied them up on the tree. We also made designs and decorations with paper and put them up on the tree, and sang the traditional song as well.

...continue... )

Afterward I hung out with my Arashi friend who is leaving today (sadface) and we went to the cafe that's next door to our school called "きつつき". Neither of us had been, and I said well.. we're right next to the school, why not check it out? She got an iced coffee and I ended up getting a cream soda.. which I guess is blue here? XDD With ice cream in it. It was good, but.. XD very blue.

So when I returned home, Ojii-chan had come up and was talking with one of the other girls here. I guess he wanted to make me "real Japanese home cooking", but since finding out that I was a vegetarian, scoured his recipe knowledge base (his brain I think haha) for Japanese traditional cooking that didn't have meat in it. Ahhh so sweet. x_x; So.. we went and helped shell some Gingko nuts for what he was making. I had never seen or eaten them before... but, we did that and he chatted to us.

Long story about the food etc )

And that brings us to now. So, I am just going to end with my goodies from the THSK tour, and a few random photos.

More stuffs :D )

Pumpkin Croquettes. Omg so good. :x And yes, it is true that Japanese pumpkins taste much different (better) than American ones.

Some delicious egg custard bakery good. Yummy!!
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Junsu)
Alright, here goes..

My first con report ever :O (I guess my Hollywood Bowl post was kind of a con report?)

Before the concert.. )

The con begins... )

Afterward, we all filed out and as we walked out the staff gave us little cards that said that you could go online with your cell phone and get a Thank You message from DBSK, but.. alas, I can't do that lol oh well. The giant crowd of us walked to the station. I was hoping that everyone would be going back into Nagoya (I'm in the opposite direction), so the train wouldn't be so packed. I was right!! The train to Nagoya was so full, from the other side of the station I watched as people were shoved into the train so that the doors could shut. People were pressed up against the glass, like in cartoons XDD where they get smashed against a window or a piece of glass. It was pretty funny, and I am so glad I wasn't on that train. XD

The ride home was alright. At first there were no seats, so I stood and almost fell asleep ala salary man style, holding onto the hand rails...rings, whatever they're called. By the end of the night, I was so tired and hungry, when I got home I made my leftovers and pretty much passed out. XD

But wow. 3 1/2 hours of DBSK.. my first concert.. and in Japan.. first time on the train. It's definitely something I will never forget.

But I really wish it wasn't prohibited to take pictures at things like this -_-

But in the end... seeing DBSK again was quite the experience, and I truly feel so lucky that I was able to go.
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Yoosu love)
I am writing this before I forget and will be making a proper post about the con soon:

+ Junsu is still the best singer, but damn... I think Changmin is the 2nd best (I never thought that until now)

+ Yoosu love on the treadmill

+ Changmin forgot his lines haha

+ Yunho is still a slut

+ Jaejoong's voice sounded like he had inhaled helium at times (even when he was just talking). I'm confused, but there were other times where he sounded perfectly normal/really good

+ Junsu did a solo part and it gave me chills

+ So did Jaejoong (Begin)

+ They sang "Stand By U" :O

+ Talked about Junsu's butt during the break

+ I think they also tried to get Changmin to talk about porn (? I think lollll wtf)

+ Silly faces made by Micky >> Silly noises made by Jaejoong

+ Not the greatest spots in the world, but Nagoya hall is small. If they went stage right they were about 40 feet away.

+ Going to reiterate what [livejournal.com profile] readyforever said in an earlier post. The videos of train workers pushing people in to trains so they can fit actually happens. Luckily I was going the opposite direction that everyone else wanted to go lol

+ I AM SO TIRED OMGGGG T_T My body is going to hate me in the morning
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Junsu HURR)

lolol their outfits are beginning to look a lot more like Arashi

and just to make this post make a little more sense:

MICKY NIPPLE SLIP. rofl

for some reason that's kind of disturbing to me.

(I wrote this almost 10 hours ago, but never hit the "post" button.)

Oops.
eggchan: (K-Pop//DBSK - Yunho+Micky+Crack = AWESOM)
So for my Illustration class we're supposed to design a box and a bag for a company of our choice from a list. We could either do really expensive chocolates ($500 for a box), really expensive shoes ($14,000 for a pair), or really expensive perfume ($800 a bottle). These are real brands.. I can't believe someone would pay $14,000 for a pair of shoes.. I mean, give it to someone who wants to go to college for christ's sake.

ANYWAY. I don't know anything about shoes or perfume lol.. so I chose chocolates.. and yeah..

It's taped together ugh )

++ I bid on a Nagoya ticket last night, but the bid ended at JPY20,000. ugh.. fangirls, I can't compete with you and your vast amounts of money DDD:.. well, I'm trying another one later tonight. Wish me luck~ D:
eggchan: (Hiro)
My download finished last night and I was finally able to watch the Arashi Summer Concert Final Time DVD (long name...)

IT WAS SO GOOD. *dies*

However, I would like to know who was in charge of wardrobe when THIS happened..

They should be fired. Back to writing report so I don't fail class :P
